The 2008 International Conference for Police and Law Enforcement Executives will take place in Montreal, Quebec, in May 2008. The conference theme is “Doing it Right the First Time!” The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, Service de police de la Ville de Montreal, L’Association des Directeurs de Police du Quebec, Canadian Association of Police Boards, and Canadian Professional Management Services will be among the sponsors of this year’s conference.
An international roster of thirty speakers and panel members from more than eight different countries including France, Israel, United States, Switzerland, and Canada, will share their personal approaches to a variety of issues police executives will face in their career. The theme for the 2008 conference will highlight the importance of addressing key executive issues in a positive and successful manner. In addition to highly respected police chiefs, private sector presenters will offer their perspectives on executive issues that are common to both the private and public sectors.
This year’s conference topics balance executive career development and organizational development at a time when the policing landscape is changing daily. Issues such as relationships with police associations, dealing with civil unrest, career development, personal financial stewardship, and organization morale in times of crisis, will be among this year’s topics. Each day will conclude with an interactive “Face-to-Face” session providing delegates with an open forum to interact with the day’s presenters. Come and learn from those who did it right the first time and those who didn’t!
The 2008 International Conference will provide an opportunity to network with the most respected individuals in law enforcement and to view the latest products and services available from trade show exhibitors.
